A book is silent. You can start at the end, go back, or linger over a single page. A show, on the other hand, makes noise, unfolds in one go, and if you want to stop it, you have to leave without ever knowing the ending. What if we transposed the temporality of a comic book to a show? What if the audience could skip a scene, zoom in on a puppet, rewatch a part they liked, linger to savor the ending… what would that be like?

Raphaëll Dupuy is a puppeteer and performer who graduated from ESNAM. He enjoys blending various artistic forms: puppetry, drag, visual arts, documentary theater, dance, and more. In addition to his work as a performer, he serves as artistic director of the Intramusculaire company and directs multidisciplinary productions ranging from documentary to fiction.

Marianne Garnier-Surles is an author and illustrator from the south of France. After earning her DNMADe degree in graphic design, she trained in comic book art in Paris. In 2023, she co-founded the collective 7e Nuit, which produces illustrations for prints and fanzines. Her graphic inspirations range from manga to American alternative comics, but her storytelling is also influenced by teen TV series and video games.
