This month, the Pôle’s Documentation Centre welcomes two PhD students in residence: Alice Jäger (France) and Charles Nomwendé Tiendrebéogo (Burkina Faso).

French apprenticeship tax/Call for payments 2025
The ESNAM can receive the French apprenticeship tax, known as the “taxe d’apprentissage”. This tax is paid by French companies.
“Auteurs en tandem marionnette & théâtre”: 1st edition!
This scheme invites an author who has been awarded the Aide nationale à la création de textes dramatiques and a puppet artist to meet, share their imaginations and work together on a cross-disciplinary writing project.

Barionnettes
Launched in 2022, the Barionnettes are an opportunity to discover puppetry throughout the year in Charleville-Mézières. A regular event during which puppeteers perform in the city’s bars.

The Pôle offers 4 residency progammes: Creation residencies, Graduate residencies, residencies in Nurseries and Research residencies.
The call for applications is open from 14 April to 25 May 2025.

Matt Weinstock : research residency in March
During his residency, Weinstock hopes to learn about Yves Joly’s lifelong quest for simplicity, the evolution of his “les mains seules” technique, and his cross-lingual friendship with Burr Tillstrom.
The Puppetry Arts Portal (PAM) is getting a makeover!
A project launched in 2008, the PAM, which has been online since 2019 in a so-called ‘laboratory’ form, is now accessible in a stabilised and ergonomic version.
It is aimed at the simply curious, amateurs, professionals and researchers alike.
Emeline Rotolo: research residency
Emeline Rotolo is writing her doctoral thesis on puppet shows in Paris and Bordeaux in the first half of the 19th century.
