Solstice by Julie Gouverne

Students in the 13^th class are presenting a solo exercise entitled “Solstice”, a first independent exercise in which each student imagines a short form lasting 5 to 10 minutes. Each project leader works in pairs with another student from the graduating class, who acts as an outsider and privileged partner. The student manages all stages of the process, has his/her own budget and workspace, in total autonomy, accompanied by members of ESNAM’s Pedagogical Council. The presentation follows 5 weeks of work.

As you read, settle down, take a seat, the story is about to begin:
It’s the end of summer, and autumn is just around the corner. We’re getting out the knitting and the hot chestnuts. Like butternuts and pumpkins, it’s the great return of the Hunt. Impatient, we pick up the story, spin it, embroider it, carry on. But something sticks. Opposite, decline, disappearance, silence. A threat? Where does it come from?
