Cogito

Nouons-nous
(France)

Cogito is a show that mixes circus theatre and puppetry, about the little phrases, trivial or pungent, that we receive during childhood and become our little inner voices. When do these little voices of conscience appear in our heads? How do they come to life? How do we live with them?

mɛʁ

Compagnie Sous le sabot d’un cheval
(France)

Residence in a crèche
At the centre of a circular stage, a leading dancer welcomes us. The lights rotate as the audience settles around the performance space. It is dark. In the distance we hear the sound of a boat, then day breaks and the first rays of sunlight appear. The dancer raises her arm and the seagulls point out their beaks and their cries…

Sous la table

Les Zerkiens
(Belgium)

Residence in a crèche
As children, we all experienced the pleasure of crawling under the table to have adventures, while remaining at the centre of our world: at the heart of the domestic universe. In this refuge, our imaginary journeys knew no bounds. Children and parents slide under the table together. The tray above their heads forms a huge screen, revealing the shifting shadows of a pretty bouquet of flowers.

Suzy

Compagnie XannaX Princesse Guerrière
(France)

Inspired by Magalie Mougel’s Suzy Storck, Eve Bigontina’s play is a subtle exploration of ordinary lives that imperceptibly go off the rails and the muted pain of women trapped in their daily lives. In this show, Eve Bigontina questions the mechanisms of our society and our place in it. The codes we respect on a daily basis, the inequalities that exist. Can we fight them or must we simply learn to live better with them?

Résurgence

Compagnie Sans Visage
(France)

Resurgence explores trans-generational links and more particularly what psychoanalysts call family ghosts. How can the buried traumas of our ancestors, the family secrets, the unsaid things, have violent repercussions in the unconscious of their descendants and determine their lives. Is it a fatality? How can we free ourselves from them?  It is through the work and life of the visionary poet Arthur Rimbaud, that Camille Drai, scenographer and director, has chosen to probe these invisible family links. In a strange and disturbing atmosphere, the spectator is invited to penetrate in Rimbaud’s tortured unconscious, where “I is an Other”.

Hybridité #2

Compagnie Graine de vie
(France – Germany)

Laurie Cannac, a puppeteer specialising in body puppetry, has worked with Andy Scott Ngoua, a Gabonese dancer-choreographer with a background in hiphop and Afro-fusion, to develop a new line of research based on contact dance and sight manipulation. For Temps d’M and the ‘hybrid challenge’, the Graine de vi company has invited a young German dancer-choreographer-performer, René Reith, who is engaged in theoretical and academic research into dance-object-matter. They will be joined by multi-instrumentalist and beat-boxer Adri Sergent to share their discoveries.

Die Haut plus que nu

Collectif Toter Winkel
(France)

A seductive and enigmatic figure, a passionate academic specialising in the figure of the anatomically flayed, gives a scientific lecture on the subject of the body and its utopia. But something else is going on, and a worry is spreading. What is this lecturer really talking about? Why is he obsessed with anatomical flays? One thing leading to another, we think we understand, but we hope we’re wrong. What if, under the guise of a lecture, he was trying to include us in his project: to remove his skin entirely?

TOC TOC TOC

Centre de Création pour l’Enfance – Collectif Ma-Théâ
(France – Slovenia)

Residence in a crèche
The artists of the Ma-Théâ collective and the Maribor Puppet Theatre, committed to creating the habit of live performance from an early age, place poetry, sound and sign language at the heart of this new project. In an enveloping sound space, two performers offer a joyful, rich and stimulating first theatrical discovery. A play that doesn’t impose, but invites. A play with words, sounds, objects and movements, exploring trust, joy and surprise.

Fables anthropophages pour les jours fascistes

Pigmalião Escultura Que Mexe
(Brazil)

This new creation by Eduardo Félix offers a reflection on current Western morality. Based on a mixture of Aesop’s fables and texts by the Brazilian philosopher Márcia Tiburi, the play features realistic string puppets with skinless muscles and carefully sculpted animal heads, all manipulated with disconcerting precision.
