Temps d’M 2026
From 16 to 20 september 2026
Before FMTM 2027, make way for Temps d’M!
From September 16 to 20, 2026, the Pôle International de la Marionnette – Jacques Félix (PIM) is organizing Temps d’M. Twenty-three puppet shows—totaling 65 performances—in theaters and public spaces, four puppet-making workshops, four professional gatherings, artistic workshops, and social events open to all will bring the Ardennes and Charleville-Mézières to life for five days!
Since its inception, Temps d’M has placed a strong emphasis on artistic experimentation, notably through the presentation of Hybridités. Come discover this initiative, which allows puppeteers to meet artists from other artistic fields (graphic illustration, video, dance, materials, writing, photography, etc.) and to explore, in pairs and over an extended period, their own forms of expression before developing a shared language. Hybridités stimulates creativity by harnessing the inherently transdisciplinary nature of puppetry. Two Hybridités will be specifically dedicated to playwriting, with, for the first time, the expansion of the Auteurs en tandem program to the puppetry arts, in partnership with ARTCENA.
The second key theme of Temps d’M is youth and Europe! Let’s make way for the next generation of artists from our continent’s leading schools! You know our students from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette (ESNAM) in Charleville-Mézières; come meet the guest puppeteers, who are still studying or have recently graduated from leading European schools (Stuttgart in Germany, Levanger in Norway, Mons in Belgium, Tallinn in Estonia, and Kharkiv in Ukraine). Temps d’M serves as a catalyst for encounters and a springboard for Europe’s younger generations.
Finally, after exploring the experimental projects that drive Temps d’M, dive into Research with a capital R. In partnership with the Ministry of Culture and as part of the PEPR-ICCARE* program led by the CNRS**, attend the Têtes chercheuses event, where artists selected for the Ministry’s Research in Theater and Related Arts initiative will present their work. At the same time, a roundtable discussion on the various forms of support for creative research, the public presentation of the REVES project led by the Pôle during the 2025/2026 season, and the hosting of a study day bringing together twelve doctoral students will definitively place Temps d’M at the heart of artistic and intellectual exchange.
A huge thank you to our public and private partners and all our volunteers, without whom this event would not be possible.
We hope to see many of you there to enjoy this Temps d’M together—it promises to be a rich, joyful, and rejuvenating experience!
