Gribouillis

La Mâchoire 36
(France)

Through the question “where do ideas come from?”, Gribouillis pays tribute to drawing, imagination, chance and formlessness. A man and a woman think, and their thoughts take the form of a scribble. They will have to untangle this bag of knots, pull out the threads of their thoughts, to see more clearly.

Retour de chasse à l’envers – Exposition

Julie Faure-Brac
(France)

September 2017, under a starlit night, a group of mysterious headlamp-wielding walkers make their way silently into the forest, following Julie Faure-Brac. Here, at the foot of the fir trees, on a carpet of moss lit by spotlights, a sacred ritual is being performed. Every soul contributes to this hunt in reverse, a rebirth of dead animals, breathing again under the gaze of the cameras. Through films, puppet installations and drawings that are part of the artist’s universe, the exhibition retraces this magical, unforgettable and intense experience.

L’ivresse des profondeurs

Sayeh Sirvani
(France)

Deep-sea drunkenness is a disorder that can affect any diver during a descent in cylinders. Euphoria, confusion, blurred vision, loss of consciousness, anxiety, hallucinations… Your capacity for judgement is reduced, you forget; you don’t make the right choices in the right time, putting your life in mortal danger. The exhilaration here is that of plunging into a world of escapes, of realities that topple over; of words that you can’t say or others that you repeat to yourself to reassure yourself.

Autour de Babel

Compagnie à
(France)

Through object theatre, the company tells how a century after the writing of Stefan Zweig’s short story (The Tower of Babel – 1916), and millennia after the origin of this myth, it finds many echoes in the present day, at a time of political and religious radicalism, xenophobia, homophobia, and the turning in on oneself of individuals and nations?

Gimme Shelter

Yokaï
(France)

Is there any place today where we can still feel “safe”? Through a phenomenon identified in Japan as “Hikikomori” (people who choose not to leave their homes for an indefinite period of time), this project talks about our relationship to the inside and the outside today, in view of the visible and invisible threats that surround us.
