Il n’y a rien dans ma vie qui montre que je suis moche intérieurement
Compagnie Gare Centrale
(Belgium)
Who is the woman under the fur? Why is her handbag empty? A man is there in the half-light, watching. Perhaps she’s just a talking corpse: after all, in the theatre, the dead can investigate themselves! Agnès Limbos, who founded the Gare Centrale company in 1984, is proving once again that she is a leading figure in object theatre.

Nature morte
Yokaï
(France)
In Huysmans’ 1884 novel À rebours, the Marquis des Esseintes chooses to recreate his own world, populating it with strange living creatures and mysterious objects. This composition, which he strives to tame, eventually takes over, forcing him to return to the human world. This free adaptation for the stage picks up where the novel left off, with the question: what if all the creatures that surrounded des Esseintes hadn’t let him escape?
