The Pôle was delighted to welcome Christine Armanger from Compagnie Louve for a creative residency focusing on the writing and staging of her upcoming show, Renart le Robot.

For this stage of the project, she was joined by Claire Audrain, a dancer; Arthur Navellou, a musician and actor; and Louise Digard, who was in charge of costumes and set design.

Renart the Robot presents a whimsical pas de deux between a dancer and a talking robot dog, in the form of an epic inspired by The Tale of Reynard. The play aims to offer a new, playful and poetic take on AI. Set at the crossroads of the medieval world and technology, the adventures of the two companions will, by implication, raise questions about morality and freedom. An interactive finale will give children the chance to pass judgement on Renart.
