Research

The Pôle International de la Marionnette – Jacques Félix encourages research, whether ‘in art’ or ‘on art’.

Support for research in art takes shape through the ‘Auteurs en tandem Marionnette & Théâtre’ scheme, set up in partnership with ARTCENA – Centre national des arts du cirque, de la rue et du théâtre. Under this programme, an author who has been awarded the ‘Aide nationale à la création de textes dramatiques’ and a puppet artist meet to compare their worlds, cross their imaginations and embark on a shared writing process together.

Support for research on art is part of a dynamic of collaboration with the academic world, both nationally and internationally. Based on the principles of hospitality and accompaniment, this programme aims to encourage researchers, teacher-researchers and artists to develop and share new knowledge about the puppetry arts. Two residency formats are proposed: Research residencies and Documentary residencies.
