Terreur

Compagnie Les yeux creux
(France)

Terror is first and foremost an image of absolute suffering. A free individual trapped in an indefinite space. A tumour in perpetual motion in the limbo of our nightmares. It’s a mixture of empathy and even identification, with no misplaced discomfort, but rather a shared feeling of understanding the suffering of this being on the stage, while finding it funny, sad, pitiful and sensitive all at the same time.

L’aventure de l’écrasement

Granit Suspension
(France)

Blanche Lorentz writes shows to experiment with her thoughts. She loves theories, she loves concepts, but she needs something concrete. So she tries everything. For this creation, the puppeteer-author has been thinking out loud about mental load. She experimented with weight with over 200 kg of pebbles. It’s an imposition session. Crushing a body, yes, but with care.

HEP ! HEP ! HEP !

Collectif F71
(France)

As a form of popular musical entertainment, karaoke draws on a shared culture, codes and social rituals. HEP! HEP! HEP! explores these issues in a hybrid, multi-disciplinary form that combines live music, drawing and manipulation, a documentary framework and a participatory, playful approach. An actress-singer, Camille Plocki, our kara-jockey, a dishevelled drummer, Alix Ewandé, and a draughtswoman, Clara Chotil, a ballerina in her own right, welcome the public to their ephemeral experimental karaoke. Their quest is to work together to renew the art of karaoke in a hand-crafted, whimsical way.

Un rien coloré

Compagnie Tra Le Mani
(France – Italy)

Residence in a crèche
What if for the next few minutes we had nothing to look forward to, nowhere to go, no end in sight?
What if we no longer wanted to go beyond the hands of the clock, but left the door open to a Nothing, a very small Nothing even… What imaginations and emotions might then emerge? Between the play of light and shadow, poetry and magic come to life. At the crossroads of the visual arts and live performance, the writing of this show was inspired by research and exploration carried out with toddlers and adults in early childhood centres.

Foetus Project

Les Enfants de Ta Mère
(France)

Foetus Project is a journey into the depths of the common unconscious, our constructions of family and ‘how it should be’ and ‘how we’d like it to be’. How is it that a woman who does not wish to become a mother can, at times, feel obliged to justify her choices? To what extent is this a conscious, considered, controlled choice – in short, an individual choice, not the reproduction of a normative schema? Where do we stand on the relationship between femininity and motherhood?
