Research programs

The Institute has developed its own research policy designed to complement academic research institutions. It defines its objectives in relation to needs identified through dialogue with the artistic and professional world.
As such, priority is given to:
• Puppet history
• Pedagogical processes and approaches to transmission in professional puppetry arts training
• Exploring the performative, expressive and dramaturgical potential of materials, artefacts, scenography and scenic devices [IciMa]
• Gesture and movement: the artist’s corporeal experience, physical preparation, quality of presence, notation, digital devices and their dramaturgical issues [ICiMa]
• Multilingual terminology of puppetry arts [ICiMa]
