Presentation at the end of a four-week course on “string puppet construction and manipulation” led by Bence Sarkadi.

The back-and-forth between the workshop and the stage is the very essence of the professional reality of puppeteers.
For this reason, the vast majority of the construction modules in the curriculum are now directly linked to a manipulation/animation module.

Bence Sarkadi began his career in 1999.
Since then, he has travelled the world with his one-man shows.
This virtuoso, who has performed on the streets and on stage in some forty countries, has won numerous prestigious awards.

Keen to pass on his expertise, he teaches the construction and manipulation of string puppets at universities in Hungary, the United Kingdom, Romania and Poland, at ESNAM in France, and during workshops around the world.

Festival-goers were able to discover it in Charleville-Mézières at the Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes in 2021 and during Temps d’M in 2022.
