Teaching

The dynamic of the studies is structured by the school director, the head of teaching and the Teaching Council. It is based on the DNSPC speciality of actor-puppeteer and its professional reference framework, with regular courses and internships directed by French and foreign artists recognized for their artistic and teaching skills. They are based on a constant back-and-forth between theory and practice, design and production, workshop and stage.

Objectives

  • To train high-level actor-puppeteers, taking into account the inherent versatility of the puppet arts: exploration of specific techniques (girdle, rod, wire, shadow, object, etc.) and their construction processes, as well as acting, voice, body, dramaturgy, plastic arts and set design.
  • To pass on to students the knowledge and methods that will enable them to develop their personal creativity and work as part of a group.
  • To encourage students to cultivate a taste for research, risk-taking and experimentation.

The Teaching Council

The dynamics of the studies are structured by the work of the Teaching Council. This is made up of the school director, the head of education and artists who may or may not be involved in the current year’s programme.
