The Bridges

For this Franco-Norwegian project, carried out in collaboration with students from Nord University in Levanger, Elise Vigneron chose to adapt the novel Les ponts (The Bridges) by Norwegian author Tarjei Vesaas. Through this extremely refined and deeply poetic polyphonic narrative, we are immersed in the story of three teenagers who, faced with a secret tragedy, will suddenly slip from the shores of childhood to those of adulthood.

Between first stirrings of emotion, the exhilaration of life, and the song of the earth, this production offers a choral and dreamlike form where identities multiply, bodies compose landscapes, and speech becomes song.

The Bridges invites the audience to experience a human existence that merges with the rhythms of a powerful, earth-bound nature.
